Pastor's Heart
Greetings Saints, in the Sweet Name of Jesus Christ,
We are a church body, a holy family, who desire that our actions and thoughts please God. However, sometimes, we go through things that cause us to stop and take pause. Life is full of mountaintop and valley experiences; but we must not fall into the habit of being discontent.
There will always be something we want to happen or a position we would like to be in, but it is the enemy who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Be watchful of the thoughts that keep us unhappy and unfulfilled. Check where this negative attitude comes from; because it could become a habit, and thus leave us outside of God’s covering.
God’s will concerning us, his people, can be found in Philipians 4:7 (Amplified), “and God's peace shall be yours; that a tranquil state of the soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is; that peace which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Being satisfied brings joy, being dissatisfied brings torment. If distress comes from something outside of our control, we must give it to the Lord. We must acknowledge that there are many things that only God can fix. Let us trust and live in the freedom and joy for which He surrendered his life.
